Snowflakes are beautiful, fragile, unique and something quintessentially Christmas - even here in Australia where we celebrate during the heat of summer! There are lots of snowflake dies, stamps and punches available on the market, but it's not that hard to create your own version of a snowflake using items you already have in your stash. The trick is to repeat the pattern around a central point, making about six "arms". Frilly or swirly patterns seem to work best as they appear more fragile.

ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous snowflake! Thanks for your comment - if you have not already looked, here is a link for the snowy stairs embossing folder. Sorry - the white on white does not show up well from my computer.

I love snowflake cards. (you just have to look at the cards I've made this month to figure that out). Part of the reason I like them is that they make a nice generic card - useful for those of any religion (or non-religion) - at least for those of us who get snow at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteWow that card is so very beautiful
ReplyDeleteLike how the snow flaky came out
