Been creative since I was a child. I used to draw a lot but got into paper crafting over 21 years ago. Recently started to do fine art painting which I am loving. My two colouring mediums of choice are watercolours and oil paints. I believe that everyone is creative and it’s a joy to encourage other to believe in themselves.

Hello, my name is Carla Aerts. I live in Puurs in the country of Belgium in Europe and together with my husband, I work on our dairy farm of about 100 cows. Even though it’s hard work, I still have time for my hobby and if not I make time for it! There are moments that I am in my craft room until midnight to finish a card. I especially love making cards with digital or clear stamps and I prefer to color the stamps with Faber Castell Polychromo pencils. Usually I make scrap cards, but now and then I also create cards with a nice background of Distress Ink or embossing.
In 2011, I started a blog. Through searching blogger I eventually came across Beccy's Place and spent many years as a design team member. I've also designed for other challenge blogs. In July 2018, my blog friend, Karin, and I started our very own challenge blog called “Carlin’s Kaartenparadijs” with Beccy’s Place as our sponsor.
Enjoy and thank you for your visit.

My name is Deanne Clarke-Saunders. My hubby and I live in Paradise, Newfoundland Canada. I was an elementary teacher for 23 years but retired early. I am now an Early Childhood Educator (couldn’t stay away from the kiddies!!). I have always enjoyed playing with paper, scissors, glue, and ESPECIALLY crayons and pencil crayons, ever since I’ve been a small child. I just couldn’t stop playing, so I continued by scrapbooking and card-making! I LOVE using Copics (even though I’m not great at the fancy coloring techniques), ribbon, and glitter! I also enjoy paper-piecing on my digis. I love spending time in my little craft room!!! My hubby calls me a paper hoarder. He just MAY be right, but I’d never tell him that!!! A man doesn’t need to know he’s right!!! haha!

I live in sunny Hampshire in southern England with my very patient husband. We have one daughter who lives with her husband, also in Hampshire. I have crafted one way or another for as long as I can remember. I have tried many different crafts and I am always willing to learn new ones. About ten years ago I realised that some people were making handmade cards, especially at Christmas, and I decided to try it for myself. Since then my crafty stash has taken over our house, hence the patient husband. I mainly make cards but I have dabbled with mixed media and scrapbooking. I also now help a friend who runs felting classes.
In my card making I enjoy die-cutting, stamping, digital crafting and colouring with alcohol markers. There are always ways to improve my colouring.
I started blogging about four years ago and my blog together with my Facebook page have opened up many opportunities for me.  I am thrilled to have been asked to be a blog contributor for Beccy’s Place. I just love Beccy’s images and sentiments.

My name is Judy VanZandt. I live near Denver, Colorado, USA where my husband and I have raised our son and daughter.
My love for crafting started many years ago when my mother taught me how to sew. I soon picked up crocheting, crewel embroidery, working with silk flowers to create wedding florals, arrangements, wreaths, etc. and making jewelry.
When my children were small, 20+ years ago, I discovered scrapbooking and my love for paper crafting began! The scrapbooking turned into card making, which is primarily what I create in the “Classic and Elegant Style”.  I also love playing with mixed media to create canvas art, altered frames and wood letters and journals.

Hello, my name is Karin van Damme. I live in the Netherlands in Terneuzen, a town near to the border with Belgium. I am married, have two sons and two grandchildren, 8 and 11 years old. Last year I lost a grandchild, she was born too early.
I started to create cards a long time ago, first only Christmas Cards. Ten years ago I joined a forum where they were talking about making cards and from that moment I also made Birthday and other cards for special occasions.
I have tried many techniques, like stitching, 3 dimensional cards and vintage, but they’re not my favourite. Then I bought some stamps and colouring pencils and I was hooked! Searching on the web I found digital stamps and started to play with them in Photoshop. That’s a program that I love to play with. I add hats on animals, or mix two images together, it’s so great to see the results. I then print them out, colour the images and make cards with them. Another technique that I love to do is creating backgrounds with Magic Crayons. I searched on the web what you can do with them and there’s a lot. In Dutch we call them ‘Te Gekke Krijtjes ‘which means "Funny Crayons". I mostly make simple cards as difficult shapes are a real challenge for me. I don’t make them often, only occasionally for special Birthdays, like for my grandchildren or my mum.
On a forum I met some ladies who live not so far away from me, and sometimes we go to workshops together. One of those ladies is Carla, with whom I started a Challenge Blog called "Carlin’s Kaartenparadijs". Each month there is a new challenge, and Beccy Muir is our sponsor, for which we are grateful.
If you want to see my creations, you can find them on my blog. It would be great to read your reactions on my projects.

I grew up in a family that valued art and crafts. My dad liked to draw [and was pretty good at it] and my mom preferred quilting and embroidery. Since I was in Kindergarten I've loved to draw and color. I took several art classes in college, most focused on acrylic portrait painting. In 1997 I was introduced to stamping and immediately fell in love with it. Co-owned a Rubber Stamp store for several years before deciding that I couldn't run a business and work a full time job as a health educator. Since then stamping has been a hobby/stress manager. Started a blog early in 2017 so that I more easily could enter card challenges and love all that I have learned and the many wonderful people that I've met through my blog. Also in early 2017 I discovered digital stamps and now prefer using them over clear or rubber stamps. I love that I can easily change the size of an image, flip its direction, don’t have to worry about smudges or unclear impressions and storage is no longer a problem.
