It's another non-alphabet prompt day, our second last for this year, and this time I'm challenging you to create a card that primarily uses scraps. It might be paper scraps - which I've done - or scraps of textiles, embellishments, left over letters or other little scrappy bits that's you've held on to with every good intention of using them on your projects. Now's the time!
YOUR TURN: Create a card that uses lots of scraps.

Had a feeling we might have another non-alphabet one today. I have heaps of scraps from all the cards that I have created this month and may have enough for more than one card.
ReplyDeleteNow, this may take some time... Scraps? What scraps? Going to get the thinking cap on... Wish me luck... Beautiful use of some dp scraps Beccy... I do feel I am dp challenged most of the time. Yet I really like the look of a nice mix of dp on other cards but they seem not to work when I put them together... Maybe I need to use all white scraps..LOL I will do my best... Thanks for the challenge
ReplyDeleteYou need to try and use all of your white scraps somehow. I would love to see what you come up with. I'm sure it will be fabulous!
DeleteOMG, I found some scraps.. now what to do with them is the question
DeleteI did the first thing that came to mind... Paper Piecing. Done and uploaded... pressure is off....
DeleteI entered my scrap card in the last race! I'll have to be quick like a bunny and make another one.
ReplyDeleteHop to it Suzanne.... hehehe. I know you can do it

ReplyDeleteSame here Suzanne H. when I did my quilted card for Q it was done with scraps but I'm not worry because I have LOTS of scraps ( I think I'm a hoarder of scraps)
ReplyDeleteFantastic cards Beccy...I like how you stamped the images over the scraps...well done
Oh! I wish I were home just now! My craft room is overfilled with scraps! And I am abroad! 😝
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I used leftovers for my Q card. More searching!
ReplyDeleteSuper card love the card and all the Dps Scraps are right up my street.
ReplyDeleteScraps?????????????????? I have a ton of those - I am going to whip up a card and see what I come up with - if one could only SEE all the scraps and stuff on my crafting table - I have to clean it! Off to create!
ReplyDeleteWow! I thought that would be really hard for me, but I did one!
ReplyDeleteFun cards, Beccy. I have a UFO (UnFinished Objects) box (I cannot take credit for coming up with this term though), which contains left-over items such as embellishments, die cuts as well as background panels. These are perfect when trying to throw together some last-minute cards and some of these cards are among my favourites.

Brilliant idea, Beccy, we all have tons of scraps! I just posted a scrap card the other day but I still have lots of scraps left! Love, love, love what you've done here, especially your doodled stitching!
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards, Beccy, and I love the quilt look that you gave to each of them. I love using up scraps and I keep a basket of them on my crafting desk. I'm off to see what I can do. :-D
ReplyDeleteI was going to put another Gnome in today's challenge because that really uses the scraps but I went with something easy. I love your different papers and lovely faux stitching. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteI think is very interesting to discover that what I did yesterday for letter R, using some unused pieces of paper, it happens to more creators! I like this idea! And I suppose it is a new proof that we are surrounded by a huge sphere of energy that provides inspiration and we are connected somehow to it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Beccy! And honestly, these parts are not scraps, just pieces waiting for a new experience! :)
I love your card Beccy. This was hard for me to do because I am so stingy with my scraps. I keep even the smallest piece of paper because you just never know when you might need that half inch by half inch square piece of paper for something.
ReplyDeleteSUPER scrappy cards Beccy!
ReplyDeleteI have accrued a huge pile of scraps over the last three weeks, so I have plenty of double-sided patterned paper scraps that could come in handy for this challenge :)
Just added another card with lots of scraps :) And OMG, you are going to splash last years records so so much! Yeah!
ReplyDeleteThis is a challenge that is definitely right up my street.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely, great assortment of papers used for each card.
This is the challenge I need! I have so many tiny scrap bits. Sometimes when I look through my box I wonder "why on earth did I save that tiny little piece?" Now I hopefully get to use them!
