Here in Australia, Christmas is celebrated in summertime. There are no snowmen, warm scarves, sleigh rides or roaring fires, instead we have the beach, seafood platters, cricket in the backyard, and often, an afternoon thunderstorm. All over the world, Christmas is celebrated with different foods, activities and traditions and often the cards we make reflect the things that are special to us.
For today's card I used a pre-coloured digital stamp called "Aussie Wreath". It contains gum leaves, blooming gumnuts and Australian flannel flowers finished with a big red bow.

Lovely Aussie wreath, so like our English ones - same colours just different foliage.

ReplyDeleteThis wreath is gorgeous! I love how you did the sentiment! Great card, Beccy!
ReplyDeleteWonderful fussy cut on that pretty wreath. I loved the sentiment on the side, a must try when my dining room table returns to its normal messy crafting self.
ReplyDeleteOh I would love to celebrate Christmas in Australia. That must be very different.
ReplyDeleteIn Belgium, it is usually cold and wet.
This stamp is very beautiful and can be used for different occasions.
He catches the eye in this beautiful designer paper. Also the text is beautiful.
Very well done Beccy.

I long for snow every year - it hasn't snowed on Christmas day here for a long time.... usually wet, wet and more wet!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this card Beccy! x
Beautiful wreath! We have also this arrangement but from branches of Christmas tree with cones and shiny ornaments. We can also put it on the Christmas table, together with a Christmas candle. Beautiful moments, indeed, when the whole family is together and feel the joy of this Celebration.

Suzana
